If you look up the definition for ‘communication’ you’ll see that it involves sending a message then having the sender ensure that the message was received and understood the way the sender intended.
‘Sending an e-mail’ is NOT ‘communication’. It is simply ‘sending a message’. E-mails are often misinterpreted and if action is required by the e-mail, it is imperative to take the time and effort to make sure that the request is clear and that the receiver has the resources to carry out the request.
With all the ‘noise’ in our communication channels these days, it is even harder to get a message across and have it understood the way we intended. Take the time to ‘do it right’ and avoid the disappointing results of weak and ineffective communication.
Remember, ‘Communication is a synonym for ‘LIFE’. Make your life better by improving your communication.
